About BEcamp
BEcamp is an education startup on a mission to better prepare young people for work and life.
Most high school and college students are curious about business, and about 30% of Gen Z considered starting a business this year. But most young people don’t learn anything about business or entrepreneurship in school.
BEcamp offers experiential, bootcamp-style education programs that help young people learn the basics of business and entrepreneurship, explore career pathways, and build critical lifelong skills.
BEcamp For Schools
Schools are focused on experiential learning and career exploration more than ever before. BEcamp is here to support those aspirations.
BEcamp partners with innovative high schools, colleges, and youth-serving organizations to provide a comprehensive introductory business & entrepreneurship curriculum, along with third-party instruction delivered by BEcamp instructors with extensive business experience.
Our integrated BEcamp For Schools curriculum features:
Interactive “Business 101” sessions in Business Strategy, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Soft Skills, and more
A Startup Project where students work in teams to develop a real, launchable startup and apply what they’re learning
Personal reflection exercises that help students understand their strengths, interests, and values and how they map to different career opportunities
The BEcamp program can be delivered as either a for-credit elective course or a non-credit enrichment program, and has many flexible scheduling options.
BEcamp Direct
BEcamp also runs affordable direct-to-consumer education programs (“BEcamp Direct”) for high school and college-aged students. These programs take place outside of school settings, but leverage the same exciting curriculum used by leading high schools and colleges. BEcamp Direct programs will range in duration, from 1 week (intensive) to 10 weeks (~1 session per week).

Mike McQuillan
Founder & Lead Instructor
Mike is the Founder & Lead Instructor of BEcamp. He has spent his career at the intersection of education and business. Prior to starting BEcamp, Mike worked as a strategy consultant, nonprofit operator, and tech startup marketer. He studied Economics at Bowdoin College and received his MBA with High Distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He lives in Maine with his wife Alyssa and their dog Pemi.
